State Water Rate Info

The Department of Public Utilities on December 21, 2018 adjusted the Water Department’s recent rate increase from approximately 17.8 percent to 17.3 percent for water usage which occurs on or after February 1, 2019.  As approved and once they are fully implemented, the Department’s new rates will decrease from $4.824 per hundred cubic feet (CCF) to $4.804 per CCF or about 2 cents per CCF for residential customer with a 5/8 inch meter billed quarterly.  The decrease is the same for commercial customers with 5/8 inch meters that are billed monthly. Quarterly and monthly service charges have also decreased from $40.35 to $40.17 per quarter and from $23.23 to $23.12 per month.
